The gutters we make are made either at our Elmsford gutter shop or in the back of one of our mobile box trucks. Then no matter what type of seamless gutter system we are building are the two key components that make seamless gutters:
- a large coil of metal in the desired color and,
- a gutter machine that works to fold the metal into the desired gutter profile.

The parts of a gutter system
A gutter system typically consists of the following parts:
- Gutters: The long, narrow channels that run along the roof edge to collect and channel rainwater.
- Downspouts: The vertical pipes that transport the collected rainwater from the gutters to the ground.
- End Caps: The fittings that seal the end of a gutter run, preventing water from spilling over the sides.
- Elbows: The fittings that change the direction of the downspouts, allowing the water to be directed away from the building.
- Hangers: The brackets that secure the gutters to the home or building, providing stability and support.
- Outlets: These are the connection points where the downspouts attach to the gutters.
- Miters: The fittings are used to join two sections of the gutter at a corner.
- Splash Blocks: The flat concrete blocks placed at the base of downspouts distribute water and prevent erosion.
- Roof Flashing: The material used to cover the joints between the roof and the gutter, preventing water from seeping through.
- Gutter Screen or Gutter Guard: The material installed over the gutters to prevent leaves and debris from entering and clogging the system.
1. How much does aluminum guttering cost?
We can’t provide an exact price for aluminum gutters because each home in Westchester County is unique, and factors like roof size, pitch, and gutter configuration all play a role in determining the cost. We can tell you that aluminum gutters are one of the most affordable and durable options available. One-size-fits-all gutters don’t exist; we install seamless gutters that are customized to your home and its unique needs, ensuring your gutter system fits your home perfectly. For a precise estimate, we recommend contacting our team, which is knowledgeable and friendly!
2. What are the disadvantages of aluminum gutters?
While aluminum gutters are durable and cost-effective, they do have a few potential downsides. Over time, aluminum can dent more easily than other thicker gutter materials, especially in severe weather. Additionally, without proper maintenance, aluminum gutters can rust or develop leaks. However, with regular upkeep, aluminum gutters offer reliable performance for years even through the harsh weather we see in Westchester County.
3. Are vinyl gutters better than aluminum?
No. Vinyl gutters are not an option for homeowners in Westchester County, given our harsh winters. Vinyl becomes brittle in cold temperatures, leading to cracks and leaks. Aluminum, on the other hand, can withstand the seasonal changes and cold weather we experience in the Northeast, making it a much better choice for our climate.
4. What is the cheapest gutter option?
Aluminum gutters are the most affordable option we offer in Westchester County. While there are other materials available, such as copper, galvalume or, steel, aluminum offers the best balance of cost, durability, and functionality for most homeowners.
